11 April sees us celebrate arguably one of the best days of the year: National Pet Day! And if there’s one thing our Winterbourne team members love, it’s their pets. Meet Howard, Rudy, Barbara, Monia, Leia, Vixen, Loki, and Bowie!
Head Gardener Dan bought Howard when he was a kitten 10 years ago, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. His favourite things to do are sleep, eat treats and scratch the sofa, much to the annoyance of his mother…
Rudy, sometimes referred to as Noodle, is now two years old. He is a beautiful apricot and white working cocker spaniel, and our Visitor Experience Manager, Tessa, has had him since he was a puppy. He loves going on walks, playing with his ball, and snoozing with his feline siblings.
Gardener Will and his family recently adopted Barbara, so she is a new addition to the Winterbourne pet family. Barbara is eight years old and getting used to a comfy life after being rescued from the streets. Her favourite thing to do is zoom around and she is getting more comfortable at home each day.
These two gorgeous hens belong to our gardener, Fumiko. Leia is a black tip hen and Monica a Black Sussex. They’re both nearly 12 months old and enjoy munching on apple, sunflower seeds, and homegrown lettuce.
Housekeeper Tina has several pets, including three cats and two dogs. We love this photograph of dogs Vixen and Loki snuggling in the armchair.
And, last but by no means least, meet Bowie! Bowie is a beautiful chocolate cocker spaniel who has been with Lee, Head of Winterbourne, since he was a puppy.
