Members of the Historic Houses Association have free entry with their HHA Membership Card (excluding event days).
RHS members have free entry Monday – Wednesday (excluding event days) with their membership card.
We get a lot of questions asking why gift aid admission is more than standard admission. In order to qualify as a gift, we are required to charge at least 10% more on admission which can then be gift-aided. Money raised from our gift aid goes toward vital conservation and restoration projects.

University of Birmingham staff and student discount terms and conditions
Staff and students may enter the site for free 7 days week on production of their ID card. They can also purchase concessionary rate tickets for any guests with them and bring in children in their care for free. Staff must present a valid University of Birmingham ID card to purchase discounted admission tickets or free child tickets. Admission cannot be guaranteed without production of a valid ID card. Winterbourne reserves the right to check the individual is a current member of staff or student by searching the database. In line with University policy, Winterbourne reserves the right to alert security if staff passes are being used fraudulently.
Free child tickets ages 5-16
University of Birmingham staff may bring up to four children aged 5-16 in their care to visit Winterbourne House and Garden for free, seven days a week. The usage of this offer is subject to a fair use policy and free child tickets are limited to four in any one family group. The offer is strictly for social and leisure purposes only and cannot be used for school groups or other educational purposes. Concession rate guest admission
University of Birmingham staff are welcome to bring their guests to visit Winterbourne House and Garden on our concession rate admission ticket, seven days a week for social and leisure purposes. The usage of this offer is subject to a fair use policy, and is limited to four guests at any time. Further discounts on tickets if guests already qualify for a concession rate ticket do not apply and regular visitors to the site should take out a membership to benefit from regular access. Academics wishing to bring guests to visit Winterbourne in a professional capacity should contact Winterbourne in the usual manner to enquire about a group booking or access to the Tea room. Requests can be made by email and telephone on the same details as above.
