Still Life Sunday

Spend a relaxing Sunday exploring different ways to use and manipulate materials when responding to a still life set up.

With guidance from tutor Claire Leggett, you can get playful with a wide range of materials, and try out techniques such as bright underpainting, using collage, wax resist, and unusual tools to apply paint with.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities. Claire will demonstrate the techniques and options open to you and guide you individually as you wish. Beginners will be well supported, and experienced artists can enjoy new ways of working and experimenting with new challenges as they wish. The foundation of Claire’s classis is to always enjoy being creative.

All you will need to bring is a couple of sheets of A3 paper. The still life set and a wide range of materials in basic colours will be provided, although you are welcome to supplement these with your own materials if you wish. 

Recommended for ages 18+. The workshop will take place in the Winterbourne Centre for Horticulture.
