Birmingham & District Beekeepers

Run by the Birmingham and District Beekeepers, this six-week course will teach you the theory of how to keep your bees healthy and harvest honey. By the end of this course, you will have the confidence and know-how to begin your journey as a beekeeper.

  • What you need to know to start beekeeping
  • How to get your first bees
  • How to look after the bees
  • Keeping them healthy
  • Swarming
  • Dealing with common problems
  • Harvesting and processing honey

Please note, this is a classroom-based course and does not involve handling bees.
