This talk looks at how Alpines have been used in the garden at Winterbourne from 1904 to present day. It charts how the interest in alpine plants has ebbed and flowed at Winterbourne, as plant fashions have changed, and as the owners of the property have altered the garden to suit their tastes.
It includes a bit of history, a bit of plant science, and lots of lovely plants!!
This talk is delivered by our Glass House Supervisor Abby who has worked at Winterbourne for over 10 years.
