Learn how to cut and work with a wide range of coloured and textured glass. During the day you will learn how to cut glass and glue it onto a pattern of your own design or from a sample provided to produce a lovely glass appliqué panel. The grouting process will be discussed with a demonstration as this may need to be completed at home when the piece is fully dry. You will learn how to safely use the specialist equipment and materials that are involved in the glass appliqué making process, such as cutters, grinding stones, mosaic cutters/nippers etc.
Please bring with you:
- General ideas, patterns and pictures for reference if you wish
- Paper to sketch out your design
- Pencil and rubber
Tools, equipment and materials are provided (extra items can be purchased on the day). You do not need any previous experience of working with glass.
Pre-booking is essential. This workshop is now fully booked, but use the Join Waiting List button to be informed should space become available, or of further dates.
