Rudge Wood Horticulture CIC

This eight-week practical course covers essential gardening basics for anyone wanting to improve at home or as CPD for garden industry professionals. Learners will gain a Level 1 award in occupational skills qualification.

Over the eight sessions taught and assessed by our horticultural experts you will learn up to date horticultural techniques including:

  • Cultivating soils
  • Caring for planted borders: weeding, feeding and watering
  • Establishment and planting methods
  • Propagating plants
  • Pruning techniques

This short-course is taught by Rudge Wood Horticulture CIC. Rudge Wood was founded by joint directors, Darren Rudge and Helen Wood in 2020. Both have worked in horticulture for over 30 years; teaching, training and creating gardens.

Recommended for ages 18+. The workshop will take place in the Winterbourne Centre for Horticulture.
