Much is Lost, Much Remains is a captivating new art exhibition opening at Winterbourne in March 2026, which celebrates the perseverance of art through times of change and loss. Despite considerable sight loss 20 years ago, artist Marian Edwards has returned to her own work with renewed belief in the transformative power of art.

Marian Edwards is an artist and art educator working in a variety of printmaking media. For this exhibition, she takes inspiration from Winterbourne’s objects and plant collections, and from Byam Shaw’s magnificent portrait of Margaret Nettlefold. This brand new collection of work includes woodcut prints, collage, drawing and photography.

Much is Lost, Much Remains will take place on the second floor of Winterbourne House. Entrance to the exhibition is included in our standard admission prices. You can visit the exhibition during Winterbourne’s normal opening hours.
