Alpines and rock garden plants are truly one of the most versatile plant categories and a small alpine trough can bring a highlight to a dull area.
This two-day workshop, taught by experts from Rudge Wood CIC, will show you how to construct your own alpine trough, create the conditions needed for successful plant establishment and plant your trough, taking it home for you to display. During the workshops we will explore the different ways alpines can be used in the garden and the conditions they need to thrive.
The workshop includes:
Day 1 (Friday 3 October) – make a hypa-tufa trough.
Day 2 (Friday 10 October) – plant an alpine garden.
Plants are included in the price but feel free to bring your own if you want to use something in particular.
Recommended for ages 18+. The workshop will take place in the Winterbourne Centre for Horticulture. For any queries about this workshop, please email our Learning Officer, Ellie Hill.
All courses, workshops and events at Winterbourne House and Garden are non-refundable unless cancelled by Winterbourne.
