Follow in the footsteps of the people who lived and worked at Winterbourne as you embark on our children’s trail. Hunt through the house for family treasures and relics from the Nettlefold’s Edwardian home, before venturing outdoors on our garden explorer’s trail.

Pick up a free self-led children’s trail from visitor reception on arrival. Please note that standard admission applies: children and family tickets are available. Aimed at ages 6 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

House Hunt

Learn what life was like for the Nettlefold family living in Edwardian Birmingham with Winterbourne’s House Hunt. Along the way, you’ll meet some of the family’s beloved housemaids, discover antique children’s toys, and learn about everyday household objects from over 100 years ago.

Garden Explorer’s Trail

Step outdoors with the Garden Explorer’s Trail and discover the many trees, flowers and plants we have growing in the garden today and have some fun exploring and enjoying nature. From the hazlenut growing along the Nut Walk to the awe-inspiring dawn redwood trees and the jurassic giant rhubarb, discover a whole world of weird and wonderful plantlife here in Birmingham.
