Plants are at the heart of our gardens, and – with a little creative planting – you can make sure that you have year-round interest in your beds and borders.
This three-week short course will help you explore a range of plants to create interest in your garden every season, as well as looking at how to create cohesion and unity in design. Using a variety of plant forms, colours, textures and habits we will explore how to select plants to suit your site, build resilience in a changing climate and plan creative, inspiring and long lasting plantings.
By the time you finish this short-course, you will be buzzing with inspiration, ideas, and the skills needed to build a creative planting design for your garden, no matter the space.
This workshop is taught by Rudge Wood Horticulture CIC. Rudge Wood was founded by joint directors, Darren Rudge and Helen Wood in 2020. Both have worked in horticulture for over 30 years; teaching, training and creating gardens.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those looking to deepen their knowledge of propagating plants. Recommended for ages 18+. The workshop will take place in the Winterbourne Centre for Horticulture.
