During this 2 day workshop you will learn the techniques of copper foiled (Tiffany) stained glass to make a panel for hanging on a wall or in a window. You will learn how to cut glass, grind, apply copper foil , solder the pieces together and apply a lead edging.
This workshop is suitable for beginners who can make a small suncatcher as a practice before moving onto a larger piece or for improvers who want to make a panel with a more challenging design. You are welcome to bring along your own design (up to A4 size) or use some ideas provided.
You will learn how to safely use the specialist equipment and materials that are involved in the stained glass process, such as cutters, grinders and soldering irons.
Tools, materials and equipment are provided.

Clare Wainwright has been working with glass for about 17 years, she makes sun-catchers, mirrors, lampshades and more, and loves to experiment with new techniques such as acid etching and adding images into glass.
